Silly question: Can I refill my tranny fluid this way?

Can I refill my tranny fluid through the shifter console (with the bloody shifter taken out, of course)? If not, please advise on how to because I am a complete newbie. Also, is Redline transmission oil good?

From what I understand, Redline MT90 is a good gear oil for our gearboxes.

You don't want to fill it that way because you won't be able to fill it accurately.

You'll need to get under the car, with it level. So if you have to put it on jack stands you'll need to put all four corners in the air so you can fill it to the proper amount.

Do you know where the fill and drain plugs are on the transmission?

pull the fill plug, then the drain plug... this of course drains it.. You may want to squirt some new stuff in right now to sorta "flush it".. Not much, since Redline is pretty expensive...or maybe use cheaper stuff..

Then, plug the DRAIN one (leaving fill open.) Fill it until it's up to the fill plug and starts coming out. Plug the fill one. Done!
