Does the relay in the CPU make a clicking sound when you select left?

Does the green left arrow indicator , indicate left turn when you select left turn. Does the right green arrow blink when you select right turn?

Listed carefully for the click, click , click when selecting left turn. The CPU is near your left foot when driving.

No green indicator arrow on the dash when selecting left turn means.............the signal is not making its way out of the CPU to the tail light. IF you hear the click, click etc when selecting left turn but no green arrow and naturally no front or read signal...........the board in the CPU is bad or the relay in the CPU has bad contacts.

A new board can be bought from Mazdatrix. Flasher board.

My pea brain tells me this..............I turn left with the stalk..............I hear a ticky, ticky, ticky repeatedly. That tells me the turn switch is good on the other end of the stalk I'm pulling on and is sending a signal to the flasher board and it tells me the relay on the flasher board is working to some degree via the ticky tick sound.

I know there is no output from the CPU to the front and tail lights becasue I do not see a green arrow on the instrument panel coming on with the ticky, ticky sound (the path to the green indicators is after the CPU and on the same wire that feeds the left front and rear turn light bulbs.

I could possibly be a cold solder joint on the wire that leaves the CPU and feeds the turn indicator and left turn lights. You could either resolder it or turn the stalk to a left turn til you hear the ticky tick sound and then while it ticky ticks, massage the wire connector on the CPU that the flasher board is attached to . This massaging might cause the lights to actually work as you massage the elect plug/wires. IF the lights start working on the left side while you do this.........then resolder the wire that feeds those left turn lights. Resolder it at the CPU itself, not the elct plug that attaches to the flasher boared.

Or maybe pull the board out of the CPU and with fine emery cloth sand the contacts on the flasher relay to remove the crud on 'em and they might work again for some period of time yet to be determined.

It ain't the turn signal switch............it ain't the left fwd and aft signal light bulbs/wires........it's CPU related.

Wiring diagrams are free and downloadable from this site along with the FSM section called BODY ELECTRICAL.
