side molding removal

before anything else, i already searched.
im going to paint my car and i need to remove the moldings. i wanted to know what would be the best way to remove them w/o breaking or cracking them.
from what ive read, the best way would be to heat them up then peel them off?
other threads say to spray them w/ some kind of jizz remover to make them un-sticky.
what is your advice?
thanx.
its an S4 GXL btw.

they are glued with double side tape. Just pry off from the end and with a knife cut carefully the tape until you take out the molding.

the s4 mouldings should just peel off...just be slow and dont pull them at a sharp angle.

get 2 sticks..Put some thin Wire Between the sticks..and use the Sticks as Handles, and put the Wire between the molding and the Car..and ZIP..(like Cutting Cheese!)
