yeah I think I could do that. You can just send me a set of s5s and pay for the lights and all I would charge is labor, but seriously, better to do a write up or a vid online and let you do it yourself and save the money.

I'd pay for that.

Rotorforc yours would look good if you polished the taillights.

I used to do this sort of thing with LEDs I'd import from Taiwan. Headlights out of 130kmcd whites and tails with wide-angle 6kmcd reds and ambers of different diameters depending on the application. Was actually a lot of fun and an awesome way to express creativity, until LEDs started becoming more common in the tails. Still a great way to get a unique look.

But... since I want a stock-looking RX-7, I don't really have the creativity room I'd like. Still do interior stuff for fun though.

Edit: Ok... since attachments don't seem to be displaying...

If your worried about brightness you guys may want to check on Luxeon stars.

The LED's are ******* bright and require heat sinks because they rock so much.

I've been thinking of doing LED lights because the damn S4 alt can barely handle my stuff as is and dropping brake light draw would kick ***.

Now my curiousity's up. I might consider doing a set just to see the response on here...

Would you guys just want to see the same thing, or some kind of improvement? Hell, I could make each of the four circle sections a rotary symbol similar to this site's logo if you didn't think it would be tacky.

they look sick alright. kinda like vomit. in fact, no. they are vomit. some Asian girl decided that she had some sort of fetish that wasn't being fulfilled cus she couldn't convince her girlfriends to be hurled upon after eating copious amounts of Asian vending machine food and soy based cuisine. so she vomited all over some rx7 tail lights.

yeah. they look sick.

Alright, I bit the bullet and ordered a set, I should be able to get to work on them in a couple weeks.

Again, are those interested only wanting a direct copy of the photos at the beginning of the thread, or something more... interesting? I've been toying with an idea of removing the main diffuser for that 'updated' look you all talk about so much, but using independant diffusers for each circle. Underneath, embedding rings of 100-degree 2mm LEDs to make a bright halo ring similar to Angel Eyes that fade in intensity towards the center of the light; activating the brakes would power an additional set of recessed emmiters that would fill the circle uniformly, and with an approx. 50% intensity increase.

Or I could just go with the pic.
