Exactly my thoughts... BUT... what's it got under the hood. If it isn't a stock TII or better... it's RICE.

You've already sunk a **** load of cash into the car, whats $2k for donor TII at this point.

EDIT: The change to 5 lug suspension with the TII swap would also give you a great reason to get some better wheels on it.
'verts have the same 5-lug setup with 4 piston fronts at a TII. No conversion needed there.

I've hit 120 with my top down... very mild mods. The DFW RX-7 guys have seen it.

jcina7:

I have the TII drivetrain in my 'vert. Not the engine, YET. With the mods you have on your engine, it might be a good investment... and since you already spent the $$ on building up your 6-port, I'd put a turbo on it. I'm not a big fan of doing that, but it can be done, and in YOUR case it would be a good choice. Read the "sticky" thread near the top about turbo on an NA.

If you need more info on the drivetrain swap, I'll be happy to help. It's not that hard, just make sure you have all the parts before you start.

1. dude doesnt really work for department of defense
2. dude's a spoiled rich boy
3. car CAME from a shop
4. rich boy still in school
5. homie friends don't own cars
6. "tounge bath from and 18 yr blonde"? that makes you either 22, or shes really 15.
7. chick in picture is his sister
8. rims made custom at the hot wheels factory
9. those are 2 pairs of pants sewn together

the list goes on, but i dont want to waste my time.

Quote:what bout size, if i go 17, wont my car feel wierd on sharp turns, they wont be too big? my 16's feel bumpy on turns as is...maybe i need lower pro's. ive alwasy been sketchy bout low pro tires though. is there anything i should worry bout?

The harsher ride of larger rims is caused by two things. 1.- the required lower profile tire's stiffer sidewall
2.- the increased weight of the rim

For comfort I would stick to 16". The problem you have w/ bumpy ride is because your chrome 16" rims are very heavy. Mazda put very light BBS rims on the heavy 'verts because they knew that the higher the ratio of vehicle weight to rim weight the better for ride. Bumps will force the light tire/rim up easily w/ out pushing up on the car chassis like from resistance of heavy rim/tire to move.

Forged aluminum 16" rims will be between 12-18lbs depending on width and brand. My TE-37s are 14.6lbs for the 16X7.5" front and 16lbs for the 16X8"- I believe.
Heavy chrome rims are typically 25-40Lbs in the 16" size- from what I've seen.

Hmm, you like 5 stars. Very American. One set of decently light Japanese 5 stars I like on our cars are the "old school" Mazdaspeed rims w/ the fat lip that were popular back in the FCs heyday. Hard to find now. Another I like is the recently discontinued Enkei RP-01, which were also fairly light. Lastly the stock 3rd gen rims are quite light and 5 star (very much like RP-01s in style). The replacement for the RP-01 is the RP-02 (I think) and not quite as nice looking.
Photoshop some Volk SE-37 or LE-37 multispokes on your car and see how you like it.

Rishie, (ARDT2 on the forum) is the hook-up for quality rims on the forum. He can probably help you w/ selection more than me, since I seem to be hung up on the idea of dark multispokes on your car. :-)

Also check out Blitz wheels, look into the "Z2" or "type-03" models:

http://www.blitz-na.com/Blitz_Products.htm

But if you want to stay with 16 in., these wheels would be too big...

thanks for the rim help, ill be changing them soon enough, prob b 4 the winter , so those pics will b up soon. as for >>mazda fanatic<< and >>rx7withnos<<
i dont have to prove my self to you guys. i do what i do, and thats enough for me. i cant go posting in detail what it is i do at my job for security reasons obvioulsy, but if you doubt me, go to www.baesystems.com. that is the place i work for, they are a defense contractor. for those of you with brains, and live in the upper NJ NY area, they are hiring now. we ARE in the defense business, and if you are keeping up on the news, youll underastand why we are hiring. other wise screw you non-believers. go to hell, go to hell and die.

yea my car came from a shop, thats where i bought it, a F'n dealer, but i assure u it did not lok like that. i even have the recipts, but what do you want me to do, photo cpoy them so you can see that im not lying. screw you non believers again.

yes im still in school, my #rd college, however? and you? the gov pays for my schooling...electrical engineering. what do you slackers do? sit on forums and flame others you are jelous of, or cant afford to keep up with?

im not even going to defend the kid with the driving gloves, what can i say, but he does own his car, and the supra, he was just there for the pic. so aw well.

i got plenty of pics of naked girls to also prove what i have said, but id get introuble for posting them im guessing, this isnt a **** site as you all have mentioned.

and im 23

no, girl is not my sister, but if she was, id still plug her

rims...whatever...ill be cghanging them, so have your fun till then.

the pants........need i defend myself against another pants comment? ill drop the towel, and by the time you scroll down, itll be too late before you realize what kind of picture you just opted to look at...lol

if i was a rich boy, id have 4 rx7's... 85 13b, 90 vert, 90 t2, 95 r1, so till then, i guess i have to wait for mommy and daddy to buy me another one for christmas

What is w/ you guys?

1. dude doesnt really work for department of defense

-Who cares? Its obvious from his car he doesn't work at Mcdonalds like the rest of us. -jealousy?

2. dude's a spoiled rich boy

-If he is why the hell would he choose a 14yr old car to moddify? And if he is so what? -Jealousy?

3. car CAME from a shop

-If so, who cares? I'm sure all of you guys do your own paint and it turns out as nice as his? -Jealousy?

4. rich boy still in school

-Oh no, you think he's getting an education, terrible! -Jealousy?

5. homie friends don't own cars

-Huh? The friends he had in the pics were posing on other peoples cars? -Jealousy?

6. "tounge bath from and 18 yr blonde"? that makes you either 22, or shes really 15.

Who cares?

7. chick in picture is his sister

So what if it was? I'd put my sister in a pic of my car...

8. rims made custom at the hot wheels factory

Lets try to guide him to the light. Telling someone they suck is no way to get them to see your point of view!

9. those are 2 pairs of pants sewn together

So? Are you mad because you are so fat you need that size, but the store is always sold out 'cause all the kids are buying them to be trendy? Who cares what he wears?

jcina7, nevermind what you've done to your car, how about explaining why you felt the need to start five threads about the damn thing! This forum already has space issues because of it's rapid growth, and the hardware necessary to run it (and expand it) is paid for almost completly out of one person's pocket. Pointless and unnecessary multiple threads like your others just **** people off and add to the cost and hassle of trying to keep this place running reliably. Please be more considerate (and mature) next time.

im far from queer, but i thought what i did in response to people bashing my pants was F'n halarious.

nah, shitty jersey has no trends, i am proof of that.
