Shuddering and thumping when letting off accelerator

Letting off the accelerator, or stepping on it, sends shudder through my whole car, an 87 NA MT. Recently, when letting of the accelerator, I’m hearing a thumping/clumping type noise (like two things are bagging into each other). The engine & tranny mounts are new. Any idea?

PS The thumping starting right after I had the rear of car jacked up for a few days to change the rear brake pads. (It took a few days because the lock pin bolt broke.)

Sounds like it to me. Mine's the same; new mount goes in on the weekend, along with an FD LSD.

I hear a VERY loud bang which sounds like two heavy metal pieces hitting each other in between shifts if I dont do it slowly... I had feared some issue with the diff or something but I guess me shifting slowly may just prevent the diff from hitting its mount hard thus me not hearing it...

I guess I need to go look around and see if its a diff mount... thats alot less serious then I was expecting... I sure hope thats it.

Don't let it bang too much, or you're gonna see a diff from inside the car.
