Shrinking the RA INNER water jacket seal? it soo long~

through togather my first rotary engine
so bare with me

i was streching the seals to put them in the groove, 2 worked perfectly fine, and the third went a little over board. i have the middle iron on and shaft in and now i am working on putting the 2nd rotor housing on.

can i put my teflon incapulated inner o ring in the freezer or something, or in a pan of hot water to make it flexible and get it to shrink?

when all the way in the groove it has only about 3/4 of deflection away from its groove. thanks!

If they are like the McMaster-Carr ones, throwing them in the freezer will do nothing.
Don't ask me how I know this. :P

Bite the bullet and buy another one.
They should not be charging you too much for extras, since McMaster-Carr sells them for about $10 / each.
