Shouldnt my car not even start

Okay, i had my problem with my car (pressure sensor reading 12v at the ecu) and i thought i blew an apex seal, i didnt do a compression check yet. but any who, i went out today and tried to start it and it ran but sucky like, so i decided to unplug all the sensors and see what would happen. im not a rotary genius, but on a t2 s4, isnt the car not suppose to even run without the AFM hooked up???

So i had the pressure sensor and afm and tps unhooked, and it started, rough kinda idle and i would put it at 2000rpms and it would sound like it was okay. the sound is diff, and i cant tell if its just an apex seal blown or what. The reason i think i blew the motor is that i was going down my road and i gave it some gas and i just fixed the turbo elbow so now all air was getting into the car instead of being choked.

And i was getting around 4k rpms and with some boost when i felt like i hit a wall and lost all power. i have a new fuel pump so i know its not it, i wonder if i hit fuel cut and blew an apex seal. the motor was said to only have under 89k miles on it when i bought it. but my boost controller was off, but it still shoulda not made it go over boost levels, i do have a free flowing exahust and 3" intake so who knows.

Kinda weird that it still runs though eh? i might of blown the ecu, cuz when i was grounding the pressure sensor earlier in the day that i think i blew the motor, i hooked it up to the wrong wire and blew a fuse. no biggy just moved the wire to the right one and hooked up a new fuse.

but like sonikrat said i probably blew the ecu. so blown ecu and motor??? maybe i just need a banjo bolt and its not geting enough fuel but enough is getting leaked in by the injectors cuz the ecu is blown. haha. im so lost. I need to find a compression tester.

but i can acclerate and move the car. not anything over like 3k but still with NO sensors? hmm. how would the car keep the ratio correct enough to get more gas when it sucks in more air.

It's because you don't have a fuel cut switch in your AFM, it will run. Compression check it damnit!

did you have a fuel cut defense? I don't have a turbo but i'm pretty sure with an exhaust like that you'll be boosting enough to need one . You check to see if all wires are gettin spark?

no fuel cut on her. i checked all the wires and there firing. we'll see how the compression check goes later on this week. if its a dud. then its time to get a rebuilt one and do some fun stuff. cuz im signing up with the air force reserves and i might get a nice fat bonus check.

hopefully more than $3k and im getting into the pasco county PD. so more bonus and mroe money. mwahahaha. maybe ill just get a FD. who knows

If you rebuild it, have it ported while its apart.
