I need your advice guys!

Hey, guys, I need your advice. I would have posted this in the lounge, but I know you guys a lot better than most of the people in the lounge. Anyways, here is my dillema. I am going to a F2000 racing/mechanic school in Canada in the middle of February. Its a 7 month program. I've already paid for the school, but I don't have the money to support myself for the 7 months I will be there. I tried to up my credit limit, but due to lack of credit, I can't get enough. I figure I can either get a loan with the title to my RX-7, or sell my RX-7. I don't want to get a loan, cause then I will have to make payments while I'm away, and when I get back, I won't have a job like I do now, and don't know if I'll be able to make payments. I've put soooo many hours into my RX-7, I'd hate to see it go, but at the same time, this school is a HUGE opputunity for me, I am trying to make a career out of racing, so selling my car isn't such a huge sacrifice in comparison to missing out on this school. So what do you guys think? And also, how much do you thinkI could get out of my car. I'd have to sell it to a rotary enthusiast, cause I couldn't stand letting somebody who doesn't appreciate my car, have it. Anyways, the specs for my car are in my sig. I have all the OEM parts that I've removed.

Keep the car, and get a job locally in the evenings. BugerKing pays $8 an hour around here, I am sure you could suffer through a couple months of "welcome to Burger king, can I take your order".

heck anyone can deliver Pizza for $50 a night (with tips).

Either that or make a deal with your parents/family/friends to take out a short term loan that you would start paying back after school.

Do whatever will be the best in the long run. Personally, I would do anything to keep my car (now that I got it running again!) but you have to do what you think is right! If this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, sell the farm, and go for it! A car is a car, a dream is everything! Follow your heart, not your throttle foot! Good Luck, in whatever decesion you make!

If I had the $$, I would give you between $3,200 and $3,500 for it, cuz I know you know your stuff! Espically since you have all of the OEM stuff to go with it!

Unfortunately I can't work there, cause I won't have a work visa or anything. Plus the school doesn't have any sort of set schedule or hours, so a job is pretty much out of the question. Any my parents/friends don't have any money to lend me, I've already tried those routes.

Then I would call up the school and ask for delayed entry for 6 months and start saving up every penny right now, so you will have the money in the bank when you go.

Or ask the school if you can work as a helper mechanic there for some extra dough.

Hehe...actually, thats sorta what I am doing. Its a mechanic/racing program. They teach you to work on the race cars, and then you work in their shop, and race their cars. That why the school is so DIRT cheap, cause you are wokring for them. They even are setting me up with a cheap apartment, and supplying some furniture and stuff. its a great deal. Anyways, I really hope I don't have to sell my car, but If another option doesn't present itself SOON, I might have to.
