It's an 87 TII 5 speed with 83,000 miles on it. It's all original and completely bone stock. The only thing that has been done to it is routine maintence. The color is the dark grey with the maroon interior. The paint is a little fadded and oxidized on the roof and the hood. I know it's hard to say without seeing pictures of it but some opions would be appreciated. My biggest concern is that from what I've heard is that the average life of a TII engine is about 80 to 100 thousand miles. Is that true ?

Oh yea I forgot he want $2800 for it.

yes, the average lifespan of a TII is about 75-125 but that doesn't mean that it couldn't run longer with proper routine maintenance but you get the idea. I like the fact that this car is stock, i made the mistake of buying a FC with mods and it was a nightmare, the previous owner did the work himself and had no clue what he was doing.

Calling BS on what ? I bought my current red FC with 101,000 miles on it and blew the engine a week later. It to was all original but at the time I didn't know the life span of a TII engine. My plan would be to leave this one just the way it is.

Well there is no way that you are gonna be able to buy something and just leave it the way it is... as far as maintenance goes. You are gonna have to replace some parts here and there to keep it running good. Cars can go alot longer than 100,000 if you treat them right. It is all about finding one that someone took care of... but even that is hard these days. I would not let some miles on the car push you away from buyin it. It is all about how you take care of it. I got my 7 knowing that i was gonna mod the crap out of it and rebuild the engine at some point. If you plan to keep it stock then it would be much easier to have it last... well for the most part.

Yea that's what I meant by leaving it the way it is. Leave it stock and keep modding my red one. I don't know I'll probably buy it anyway.

FAQ says TII's go 150k miles. But it really depends on how they're treated. Could be more, could be less. Try a buyer's guide in the FAQ to see. www.kbb.com for blue book, Haynes manual to maintain it, FAQ or forum search for questions on problems or upgrades.

I'm going to go take a closer look at it tonight after work. The guy that is selling it is really nice and he's going to let me bring it home so that I can pull it into my garage and give it a very close inspection. Definately going to do a compression check and put it up in the air to take a look at the undercarage. I'll post pics of it if I buy it so you all can see it. As far as Wyoming goes...... it depends on where in Wyoming. Here in Cheyenne SUCKS. It's flat and windy. However if you go further west or northwest it is actually quite beautiful if you like the mountains.

mine has 135,000 on the clock and still has 110 PSI on each face on both rotors. it all depends on how much maintenance the car was given in its lifetime
