Camber adjustment??

Sorry if this question seems rather stupid, but my brain is not fully functional at the moment.
For rear camber adjustment ...
If I make the adjustment rod longer ... this should make my wheels go out at the pavement and in toward the top (skyward)?
What I have is my tires squat down and I need to adjust to bring the bottom (where the tire meets the road) inward a bit ... Which way do I need to adjust the rod?? longer or shorter??

Shorter = less neg camber.
