Should I buy 1990 GXL?

what would be a fair price for a 1990? the car is in nice condition with black leather, however the car has 180k on it and I think its the origional engine, also I think the car has been repainted because the black rubber side bumpers were red. Thanks.

The side mouldings were body colored on the Series 5 (89-92) RX-7s

lol, good point... how much you should pay, how much you're willing to pay, and how much the car books for are completely different things... check the vin, do a carfax, find out more about the car, and find out how much you're willing to pay, how much it's worth, and how much the guy wants for it.

for example, i paid 4k for my 90 gxl, all banged up, paint fading on the front bumper, a bunch of little scratches, and a big dent in the front left fender.... BUT i felt it was worth it... the guy took great care of the car, had a fresh mazdatrix rebuild, and a pair of recaros w/ custom rails, and best of all, him & i are cool now, so i can ask him all sorts of questions and ask him for help.

it's all about what it's worth to you.

It also depends on how well it runs too.I would have the car checked out first then decide on how much the car is worth to you.But prsonally I wouldn't pay more than $2000 unless the engine has been rebuilt or replaced.

My 2 cents
