I freaked out when I drove my 89 gtu after I got done driving around 1300 miles back from missouri, I couldb't imagine it woulda been that much, I'd prolly say about a 2" shorter throw, now I just flick my wrist insteada moving my elbow...

never the less, i like buying the correct things and doing things properly... plus its a helluva lot easier finding shift ***** that will fit a s5 thread pitch than a s4 thread pitch

s5 cars have same threads as
FDs,
miata
mazdaspeed shift *****

s4 cars have same threads as
old lexus sc400

I would be interested, but it would have to be at a price that would make it more enticing than something like the mazdatrix short shifter (which comes with new upper and lower bushings and a shift lever boot). Their cost is $192.00 for comparison, and would not have to be shipped to us from Europe. Do you have any idea on what the shipping would be?

bingoboy > if u could read, then read this thread, in the begining i stated u don't have to worry about shipping, it will not be shipped from Europe but from New York....so shipping price will be same or lower than from mazdatrix for example....

about price, its depends on demand - there could be groupbuy for it for better price of course.......

wow i would not expect a moderator to start flinging stuff like that at me. if i could read? where did that come from all of a sudden. i accused you of nothing. did you read your own posts? you said NOTHING about shipping from new york. you said:

don't get scared by my location, im able to get them to USA, no worry
i could have another 50 kits in week or two, then about one week to get them to USA if there will be demand high enough to make them...
all of what i read implied nothing about shipping from the USA, and kind of made it sound as if you would be shipping it from your location. believe me i had no doubt that you would "be able to get them to USA." i was just wondering at the cost of that, which is no longer an issue thanks to the fact that i obviously can't read and had to be enlightened by you.

so far only 2 or 3 ppl interested ? )

would like to know if u guys welcome that there is more thread on top of it or if it does not matter or rather standard finish....since most of us are using shifter boots, i do like that idea longer threads which on uncut shifter could be hidden and on cut u do not need to hide anything....

since interest is not that high, it would not be that fast...first kits could be shipped from NYC to your homes first or second week of January. If i'll have really high interest here, it could be first week of December, but thats not showing yet....

i say leave them uncut but threaded. it'll give us the option; leave it at the stock height or cut it and get an ultra-short throw .

i bought the mazdaspeed short shifter... and with a flick of my wrist i shift from first to second. the throw is extremely short, but the only thing that kinda sux is that high speed shifting is harder i found... after i put it in. costed 285.00 usd then shipping to canada thats the bad part

hiGGi,
I'll take one. I live in Baltimore, MD so shipping should be kind to me. Leave it uncut but with the extra threading please. Some kids will just have to get handy with a hack saw and file if they want the extra shortness. Try and get it here ASAP, my elbow is tired!!

how come people just dont cut the ball off at the bottom, add a tiny 1" filler, and weld the ball back on for 10 bux........make your own short throw

It would be "easier", but might not last as long depending on the weld job. I'm sure there are people who've done this though . I myself bought the Mazdatrix Shifter, a little notchy (but I like that) but after you work it in it's extremely sweet.

I want one for my S5, but i thought the threading was the same on both cars. Or is it that some shift ***** will "mate up" with either pitch, and that's what is messing me up?
