Shortblock 13B + RX7 FC trunk space

Is it possible to fit a shortblock 13B into an RX7 non-vert FC's trunk?

Found out I won't be able to rock the pickup beater I was hoping to pick one up, hoping I can use the FC to pick up this shortblock. Anyone tried it before?

i think he said its a non-vert... it will most definitely fit it the hatchback model and possibly even in the vert tiny trunk. i know for a fact you can fit a rx7 tranny in the trunk of the vert..

He said non-vert trunk...

Yeah, it'll fit, with the hatch open or (better) removed. The problem is going over the rear of the car. You should put a 3/4" piece of plywood under. Lowers the car quite a bit and could bottom out your suspension on some bumps. Proceed at own risk.

Better off removing passenger seat and putting it there.

They fit. (short block)

So does the tranny, just pull out the shifter or it'll hit the hatch glass

Yeah, a shortblock fits no problem. Just make sure to strap it down with something or its going to roll forward when you stop and smash your bins. Ask me how I know...

Or worse, it could become a 200 lb projectile rocketing towards your head if you crash into something.

Unfortunately, im now wingless because of what you just mentioned.

Yeah, just a side note, if you try to put it in the hatch, your going to have to man handle it in there as a cherry picker will hit the hatch.

I'm pretty sure however that you could use the cherry picker if you were putting it in the spot where the passenger seat goes.

You do realize that the short block is barely bigger then a 16" rim is tall... It will fit EASY however there rather heavy so getting it in will be quite the feet.

Well I used to have a picture of my N/A short block next to the tire but I seem to have deleted it... wtf was I thinking.

Edit: Found it

Eesh, thank you all.

I'll have to think on it. I was going to drag a buddy down with me to pick up this shortblock, hence sort of needing the passenger seat. Any good way to secure the shortblock to the hatch area? (I have "junk" in that area as is - it does not matter if it gets banged up, the bins can be totally destroyed and I'm cool with it.)

u can fit alot more than just a short block in there if u remove the hatch and passenger seat, ( i fit a long block 13b with trant attached and took apart an engine hoist and stuffed them all in my fc.

itll fit man, the oil pan is off it right now so it will also sit flat and can be moved to the very front on your cargo area.

I took out the passenger seat of my FC and threw down some plastic and was good to go. I left the LIM on though, and it made a circle impression on the passenger arm rest... but other than that everything was fine.
