Short Throw shifter (miata style)

I just got my Miata Short Shifter in the mail. I also bought a Voodoo **** for it. I would say this is the way to go. The shifter is suppose to be shorter itself than the RX7 ones. Anyway for the $ screw the RX short shifters. I think I paid $30 on Ebay for this Miata one brand new, then another $30 for a VooDoo shift ****. I have $60 into a new short shifter and ****. How far would $60 have gotten me with a new or even used RX7 short shifter.....? Exactly, my advice get the Miata one

I'm really curious about whether these Miata shifters are less notchy than say the Mazdatrix one I have.

I want to drive an rx7 with one of these to decide for myself. I had the Mazdatrix short shifter in my 2nd gen and it was awesome. The throws were extremely short, which took some getting used to, but once I was used to it I could not imagine driving it any other way.

Just because something is cheaper, doesn't mean it's better But I don't know what it is like yet since I haven't driven an rx7 with one, would be nice to compare.

I have the Mazdatrix shift, mind if I swapped one into your car for an hour?

That and I want an excuse.

I just got done putting mine in. It is great. No rattles, no notchiness.

The shifter physically is not shorter than the stock shifter. Mine was cut down, and now the Miata one sits way taller (which is better for me).

I went with the RP RX-8 5spd shift ****!!

i put on the redline goods boots, i use the taller extension and an RX8 shift **** also. i don't see the point paying $200 for a shifter, even with the leather boots this was closer to $130.
