short block assembly

hey im about to get my motor in the car and start assembly and i have a few questions, here i go

1. is there a list anywhere listing all the gaskets i will need to assemble everything on the short block

2. is there a write up or anything listing the best order to assemble everything on the short block.

thanks in advance. if theres something out there itd be alot easier than just trying to go piece by piece

That has everything except the hard seals and the oil control ring springs. You will need new apex seals, but the other hard seals can usually be reused.

As for the rebuild, there is a writeup on www.rotaryresurrection.com, but I don't have the exact link to it. You can also get a rebuild video, either the atkins video, or the Bruce Turrentine video from www.rotaryaviation.com (the Bruce Turrentine video is more thorough, IMO.)

def go to mazdatrix and get all the part numbers for the gaskets then call up Malloy Mazda...phone #1 703 490 8170 and ask for Ray in parts and order it all through him...he gives all rx7 owners a big discount on oem parts..that is what i go through no doubt everytime and alot of other people on the forum too. the man is bad *** to sum it up. uim, lim, egr, acv, water pump, water housing, thermostat, turbo oil line seals, check valve, hopefully you can still use the turbo/manifold/downpipe metal gaskets they are expensive i know im missing some but those are all the major ones i can think of spur of the moment..just brows through each section at mazdatrix write description and part # then go from there..i just got done doing this same whole process about a month or 2 ago..call Ray
