Shopping for an LSD..Can someone help?

Hey guys Im lookin for an LSD for an open diff. on my S5 FC. Can I find one for my car or do I have to get a TII rear end beforehand then find an aftermarket LSD. Thanks

i don't think you need to buy a TII diff-pumpkin....you can have an LSD installed into your current diff-pumpkin...

i dont think his NA S5 came with a lsd...IIRC they dropped the LSD on some models to save on weight....

Does the s4 clutch type fit? If so, I'd go with that unless you wanna spend the big bucks.

there you go. go to a junkyard or start slinking around on www.miata.net to see if anyone has a spare one or something. IMO the torsen is one of the best ways you could go.

Just found this thread, and was curious.

I have '91 Vert, and wondering if I can install torsen LSD from, possibly, www.miata.net.

Yes, you just have to set the pinion depth correctly (or have it done for you) and swap the Miata gear set for the one from your 'vert.
