You havecertainly fallen.
You painted the stock peice.
not to mention a RUBBER peice with paint that will flake off in a month.
Its gonna get worse unles you take steps.
Here is your way back out of this predicament:
Brake fluid.
Go buy a gallon of it from Pep Boys.
lay the dissaembled tube sections in a tub of it and turn them about three times a day for a week.
This will strip the paint without harming the plastic or rubber.
Anything quicker will melt the rubber/plastic.
May the performance gods be merciful, for the Lord of Ricey Darkness has touched you.

The only reason I ever painted my battery cover to match my car because it was covered in grease and had scratches all over it. A few coats later, it looked like a brand new cover.
This however is a monstrosity.... what the hell kind of a red is that anyway? Are you sure you got the same colour as your car?

LETS PUT IT THIS WAY every mans car is there own!
to rag on others is pointless b/c the car ur ragging on is not urs and it is another man's car whom might think differently in taste than u . i know i messed up on it and i posted it to inform u guys' entertainment not for u to rag on . i know everyone is subject to flame every once and a while but damn do it nicely!

(The GX model was a mix of a base and a sport model, not sure if they sold it in the States or not. Mine has power steering, mirrors, and sunroof, along with storage bins, ac, but no rear wiper)
