Shocks?

I was looking at racingbeat last night because I am going to replace my suspension very soon and was wondering what everyone thought about the Tokico Illumina adjustable shocks on the front and back.
Just wanted to know if they would be good for daily driving and some auto cross use. TIA

felt good on my TII in combination with coilovers. You might splure for the "white" adjustables though. The blue ones are mighty stiff.

I'd stick with springs that have the OEM dampening rate though if it's your daily. Don't want to spoil that ride with the "kidney puncher" springs

dude if your driving daily I wouldn't get coilovers, I just upraged my Shocks and springs with KYB agxs, and suspension tech 1" lowering springs. the ride is almost like stock if not better.....and if you looking on buying some got to www.shox.com I got my shocks and springs all together for $560!

I've had the Illuminas, they were pretty decent, but died fairly quickly, but then again they have a lifetime warranty.. so thats fun.

KYB AGX + Eibach Prokit is a good setup, I used that on my previous TurboII.

did you have to call them for a quote with the KYB AGX shocks included? i don't see them listed on the site. i'm thinking about a set of AGX's and an Eibach pro kit set of springs for my car. and what do you think of the shocks you got? how stiff do you have the shocks set? that's a killer price you got on that setup.

With the springs w/o a coilover setup the top springs you're limited to are the Racingbeat 142f/132r springs compared to a stock FD R1 which is 280/220 or something... (can't remember exactly) Stock for a FC is 95/90.

www.k2rd.com for the cheapest KYB's you can buy.

i cant even begin to tell you how inportant good shocks are in racing. Get the best that you can buy, and make sure they match your springs. All the shocks listed above should be fine with STREET springs, but with stiff springs, they could go out of the range of dampening. You could get the koni yellow's that are single adjustable. I would go with those over the kyb's, koni makes much better stuff.

i got agx and eibach adjustable springs on all 4 and the car is very stiff.... fun for a daily user... agx you can adjust stiffness of shocks and the springs i can adjust the ride height.

I ran the eibach pro-kit springs in my bimmer and was very unhappy with the squishiness of the first inch of travel on the street. I'm more into ultimate handling though. Comfort in a 5 point? hahahahaha I want to pull so many G's my kids will be born needing chiro work to get them straighened out.

Anyone use bilstiens on their 7? I had their "sport's" on my bimmer and loved them.
