Shim/packing a S4 Clutch lsd/diff locker on open diff questions
so im gonna try to shoot for a S4 clutch lsd , if not , im stuck with gettin another open in the meantime since mine took a dump on me
so anyone have experience on doing this? Lets say the if the diff is in good condition and wouldnt need a rebuild...

I got my S4 LSD for less then that junk... Friction between two hunks of metal isn't a LSD.
It puts a lot of pressure on the spider gears, pressure that they weren't designed for. I'd expect a lot of excess wear, without the benefits of a true limited slip.
