shifter spring install

shifter spring install

how do you guys install this? the tranny is stil in the car btw.

I think the transmission needs to come out. Not worth it unless you are taking it out to rebuild it anyways.

That job is a huge PITA by the way... and I swear I think I broke the new one as soon as I installed my shifter.

same, i installed 2 new ones and they both had a very short life span.

Fc313 : You need to take out the transmission to get to the shifter spring, Its a PITA.

damnn i kinda hard that figure but i jus have to confirm it. but do you have the steps to do this? like what do i need to take out.?

4) uninstall shifter selector
5) remove spring
6-10) opposite of 1-5.
