Shifter bushings interchangeable between series?

Hi guys. I'll be to the point.

Has anyone used the upper shifter bushing in the place of the lower bushing? Are the two pieces interchangeable? If they are, I could just buy another upper bushing set from Mazda and not have to wait to get one shipped from Mazdatrix...

Thanks,
Victor

scathcart, from Mazdatrix's website, they are two separate part numbers. Plus one bushing is white and one is blue.

Mazda doesn't have the lower bushing in their system. I went to the parts department and was even able to see on the diagram on their computer software that no bushing was there.

Nope.
http://www.mazdatrix.com/g4.htm

(H) 79-95 (Upper) 17-4810-8AF1
(I) 84-95 (Lower) 99-1780-M505

Both the S4 and the S5 fall between 84-95, so they are identical part numbers.
At the dealer, the part numbers are:
8AF1-17-481
M505-99-178
