shift up light indicator not working
so i have a 87 gxl S4, i let my friend drive it and now, the shift up light indicator doesn't work. anyone know? please help, thank you.

Has it ever worked correctly? I remember laughing every time it told me to shift into 5th at 40 mph just cruising along.

it sure would be cool if there was a way to change what rpm it comes on at so we could actually use it. my guess is its for best mpg's.

I can shift w/o a light telling me when I need to.
check fuses, or check bulb in cluster, check soldering points in cluster.
