On the S4 NA's the 5th/rev switch and the reverse lights switch are two different animals. The reverse light switch is on the left side of the tranny (two red wires with single bullet connectors apiece)...Should have continuity in reverse (see FSM wiring manual, page 50-60 for an S4)

!! This isnt true! You should put an A/F gauge on your car, you'd be amazed how much time you spend in closed loop!
