Shift Light without buying a Tach.

With all my mods, and custom cat back it is easy for me to over rev. The engine just keeps makin power. There is no need for me to replace the factory 91 year model tach with an after market one. I am looking for a stand alone shift light to help me with over revving. Any thoughts?

Where do you hook up shift light by itself?? Do you tap into the ECU or what?

If you're refering to the one from T-Sport, here's their wiring info, although I'm pretty sure all shift lights are wired similarly, there's not much to them

Simple 3 wire hook up
Rev-Lite has only 3 wires to hook up. Simple connections for:
1)12 volt power (via your accessories circuit in the fuse box)
2) earth to the cars chassis
3) tacho signal, usually from the negative terminal on your ignition coil. If you own a multi coil car you will only need to locate the tacho signal from your computer which will be avalible either from the wiring loom near the computer itself or from the ign power module
