Exhaust

Ok here's the deal. I have a 90 GTU and it has a exhaust leak, I found out where and everything but just haven't fixed it yet. So my question is, would the exhaust leak cause the car to stall when ever i puch in the clutch or put it in neutral? I have adjusted the TPS and everything and that is set right but every once in a while the car decides to die on me. Can anybody help??????

I forgot to add, the exhaust leak is at a flange so everyting else is fine . I just had to order a new gasket (which I already ordered form racing beat, just waiting for it) So basically i'm not using my whole exhaust except for maybe the downpipe. Can anybody help me???????

I highly doubt that your exhaust is causing you to stall, unless someone shoved a potato up your tailpipe.
Im not really up on RX7 tech yet so I cant give you any other ideas on what it could be...sorry..

Doesn't seem your exhaust would make you stall, but I don't know.........

Check your BAC valve. This is what helps lower the RPM when you push in the clutch & the the rpm's drop. If it's leaking or malfunctioning, it could cause a stall. Also check for vacuum leaks.

Definatly check your Bypass Air Control Valve. I was having the exact same problem and the nice people on this board told me to check it and clean it, so i did, and ba da bing, my car runs like a champion again.
