Me too, my door handles and locks are broken, I get in from the hatch with a hanger to open the door from the inside, .

i have shaved the back end to, including the antenna, i love the look. when i redo the body i am going to shave the rear key hole and have been thinking about flush mounting the plate so it would be smooooooooth all across the back. i have even had thoughts of moving the fill tube for the gas tank to the hatch area and smoothing that out as well. the smoother the better!

the only thing keeping me from shaving everything in the back is paying to have it re-painted

+1 ^

Omixeo, I'd get new ones from a junkyard if I were you. I replaced my lock/handle mechanism no problem... took the whole afternoon b/c of all the cramped spaces in the door panel, but other than that it was easy. But the lock & handle themselves were still good, just the mechanism underneath was bad. I dunno if your situation is different.

Wish I had shaved when I painted my car...Would be nice not to have the door handles, hatch keyhole and a Frenched antenna...

I was also only able to get inside of the car when I locked it. Had to send my wife through the hatch, over the rear strut tower bar and into the pass. side seat to unlock it. DOH!

I like the emblems though so I don't think I would go for it. 3rd brake light is required for state inspections her so can't get rid of that either.
