Set the timing and the TPS on rebuild...now hesitating!

Ok,

I set the timing and the TPS on my rebuild. Now, when i'm cruising on the fwy, it hesitates when I try to hold the rpms at a certain speed. It doesn't matter how fast i'm going, if I let off the throttle and just barely hold the pedal, it starts to hesitate...

Could the TPS be fragged? I had it set to 1k ohms and when I did the sweep, it went up to 6k ohms...

I've been hunting idle gremlins for months now. I haven't found any vaccum leaks, I replaced the TPS, replaced gaskets....and for some odd reason, it does not want to idle properly...

Karack knows some details about my engine as far as possible causes as to why the idle would be so shitty. He mentioned that it could be my flywheel, lack of airpump without have the emissions removal done and so forth...

Does anyone have any possible ideas or solutions for me?

Did you check what the tps voltage is at idle? should be close to 5V vref and 1V drop at the tps

no...i have not checked the voltage...I was under the impression that it's not as accurate as testing resistance...

I would say testing the voltage is more accurate than resistance because that is what the computer actually bases its decisions off of. But both are important to check, because if you set it to 1000 ohms at idle and have proper 5v reference and check it and it shows .58v drop instead of 1v then you know you've got a problem with some part of the circuit. At the moment mine does pretty much what I just described and it has to be set at 1950ohms for it to show a 1v drop, and the car runs much better when set to 1v, regardless of what the tps resistance shows.
