Exclamation Serious Problem!

HEY...I broke this EGR VALVE ON my 91N/A. This little piece is gonna cost me 382 dollars from MAZDA!!! DAMN thats alot of freaking cash! Thats insane. ANYAWAY JUST felt like letting you guyz know. Hey has anyone faced the same problem?

Id just take it off if I were you. Im not too fimular with N/A but if Scott 89t2 is right, you have nothing to worry about.

I do have one...mariah told me, and like I went to the junkyard and there are several 2nd gens but like early ones...umm im sure theyll fit and all. FOR $40!!! compared to damn almost 400 dollars!
ITS AN EMISSION CONTROL THINGY WHICH IS IMPORTANT in order to pass smog. ANYTHING ELSE??

89-91 rx-7 don't have a egr valve scott is right i seen the engines too and they don't have one

Ok...its this air hose that goes from the radiator somewhere to like this part in the lower part of the engine(LEFT SIDE) BUT ITS NOT THE LOWER RADIATOR HOSE! and this hose has like a plastic thingy (looks kinda like this ={}= KINDA LIKE that.) and theres a hose on the other end. kinda like this( ====={}====curves into lower engine). AND I BROKE THE LITTLE PLASTICE/METAL piece that holds that hose to the place in the engine. I BELIEVE ITS THE ENGINE OHHHHHHHHH I think its called like "air _______" cant remember....THANKS GUYZ

This is the ACV on your car.

Are you talking about the hose at the bottom.
if so, that goes to the air silencer. This is just to quiet down the air pump when it's relieving air.

You can look at my web page under emissions->secondary for ACV operation

Vanix got it - It's the exhaust for excess compressed air from the air pump, through the ACV.
It has no effect on emissions.
