AL Series 4 Turbo II, tachometer replacement.

Hey, unfortunately my tach died on my (no continuity at all through the tach's circuit board) FC. My question is there any particular reason I wouldn't be able to replace it with a tachometer from a series 5 NA? As long as I have to replace my tach, I may as well be able to read 1K extra RPM on the meter. They both get the exact same signal, right?

I beleive the wiring on the 2 are different. I know that the wiring throughout the s4 and s5 are not the same. If you change the speedo you have to change everything else

The tachometer, not the speedometer. The Speedometer is mechanical on the S4, not sure about the S5.

All FC's have a mechanical speedo.

I am almost certain that the S5 tach will drop right in to the S4 cluster, no mods required.
