Sequential shifters for our cars?
Anyone know a company that makes those semi-sequential shifters for our cars?
... the ones that convert the H-pattern into a straight line up and down shift mechanism, while still using teh clutch.
I know about the ikeya formula shifter, but they only make them for FDs.

Damien is running a T5 with a Geforce gearset but that is still an H-pattern. That is your most affordable route, if you can fabricate. The Guru dogbox gearset is ~$5k and is a modified H-pattern. Your looking >$$ for a SMG.
The HKS is around $8k and is sequential and would be the easiest to "drop in". Doug Nash or Jericho could custom build you one with more $$ and they won't just bolt in.

yeah, but that shifter uses the FD Middle Boot mount points, which are different on the S5 Fcs.

i'am not really looking for a real dog mission - to noisy and overkill for the street IMO - just something that is similar to the ikeya shifter, and bolts on the S5 stock tranny.

I don't think that's even possible, the SMG shifter would somehow have to translate the single axis forward/backward motion into steps that would use the same motions as the stock shifter. Am I right?
As far as I know, that requires an aftermarket transmission.

MEh my dogmission is fine without the super mad quick shifts. I love WOT shifts you can do with this trans but I am worried about its strength, after getting mine I stated seeing older threads popping p where the 2nd and 3rd gears have failed.
Also this is for the HKS unit.

... so you make the sequential shift movments, but the shifter itself goes through the normal H-pattern. that's why you don't need an aftermarket tranny on this one.
Here's an explanation video
