Sending my 89 GTU to the $tealership on the 23rd...

I'm sending my car in to the stealership to get the auto seat belt fixed... and then inspected... my wallet is already afraid. Can anyone give me info on the seat belt recall? like a letter or a copy of the recall notice or the tsb or something... so that is easier to convice this dealership that they really do need to fix my belt for free??

Thanks,
Rob

dude.....not to be an ***, but u could have searched this one so easy. its been up a million times. but just to save u the trouble, the dealership HAS to change it, no matter what. those bastards just want u to buy cars and never come back for help. its a lifetime, whether replaced before or not. print out a recall sheet (just search on yahoo....or here) and show them, if they still say....."its $ blah blah" to do it, tell them to go f**k themselves and call the mazda number on recall sheet. tell them the problem and the dealerships number, name, w/e, and they will call them and get their asses straight. the dealerships will gladly replace the auto seat belt assembly for free then. make sure they dont break anything too....

My local dealer fixed all my fcs seatbelts without any complaints, but they always try to get me to do something else. You know since the car's already "there". I leave the car in the morning and usually pick it up by noon time.

Is this a state thing? Because I am pretty sure the dealers here in Tucson will tell you to pack sand.

Oh, and its "supposed".

I am in no way trying to provoke iceblue, or attack him. I am merely trying to help...

Ahh, so that's your standard answer now...

Kind of like mine: "On the advice of council, I respectfully decline to answer the question based on my 5th amendment rights against self-incrimination"

Don't ask, lol...

I have to leave my car there since my temp inspection runs out the day they can fit me in... so I'm going to leave the car there and let them fix the belts and inspect it... so I'm sure they will find some expensive part that needs replacing... I'm kinda up against the wall on this one... Hope they dont redline my rebuild that has just over 70 miles on it...
