i need advice

hey i have a 88 vert and am need help in deciding what i should do with it. I just got it about a month ago, so if i say something stupid (which i probably will), please understand.

Anyways, i want to turbo the car....i have "enough" money, but i dont have time..so i cant spend a month building it....i just want to know if it would be easier to simply have my engine rebuilt and buy the turbo kit from 1300cc (and turbo charger, intercooler, etc) or buy an engine from www.osakajdmmotors.com/intromazda.htm...and just have that throw in there.. Which would be more reliable and better deal? Or do you advise something else?

Thanks

it would be more costly to buy a j-spec turbo engine but you will have everything you need. but likley it will eventually need a rebuild which will cost you more. you would rebuild your engine and put some TII rotor's in there then turbo it, but then your gonna have a 6 port block. i say read around on turboing NA engines. i would say buy a complete j-spec engine, and all you will need is the harness and the ECU. ive never dropped a turbo engine in a vert but i dont imagine it can be any differnt from a regular NA

Go J-spec, if you have all the parts you need you can be done with the swap in week. It also depends on mechanical knowlege

i see, well if dropping j-spec can be done that quick..i might do that, it only costs $650, so im not too worried. Does it come with all the hoses as well? Or do i need to order those separately?..basically, my question is, if i go ahead and buy an engine from http://www.osakajdmmotors.com/intromazda.htm , what else would i need to do or buy to have the car running? just a harness and ecu?

Thanks

ok, so where could i buy the proper sensors? Sorry if im asking a lot of questions, but im still very new at all this. I switched from a 03 spec v to a 88 rx7. ANYways, I still need to know what exactly i need because i think ive made my decision on going ahead and buying the TII engine from http://www.osakajdmmotors.com/intromazda.htm ,I plan on buying it in the next few days and i dont want to have parts missing, you know?

Also about the hood, if i cant find a good hood, i was planning on buying the TII hood scoop from http://www.rx7heaven.on.ca/ and having a body shop i know, customize it into a working hoodscoop.

Thanks

At the top of the 2nd gen section there is the FAQ for FC, and here is the answer to your questions. And im sure youll find plenty of other inquiries there.
