Seized S5 na blew coolant hose overheated help

My s5 na blew a the heater hose and overheated. K removed coolant and oil. I lwt motor sit for 8 months due to school and work. I pulled motor this month and noticed it seized up. I used lubricant and was able to turn it thankfully. I tried to turn it two hole times but got stuck on the second rotation. Could the rust caused it to get stuck again?

if it cooked enough to involve the water seals, then yes, rust might be the issue. could also be damaged in some other way. why not just pull it apart instead of speculating?

yes, iron seal in an iron rotor + water = rust

Okay so I let it sit for a bit with wd40 and was ablw to turn it a tiny bit again. So its not completely seized thankfully. I removed the exhaust manifold and these are the only pics i was able to take. This is the rear

I was thinking the worst when it got stuck. I thought it was going to be all rusted but i was wrong. I think it's not a complete waste of time now.

Throw some Marvel mystery oil into each rotor housing and rotate it around. It’ll loosen up the rust and clean out the engine a bit.

At this point the rebuilder told me not to try to move anymore since I let it sit for a few months. Maybe one of the corners got stuck and is preventing it from moving anymore. I might damage it if I force it. Either way it'll require to be opened up for a rebuild. Heres hoping there's no major damage for a rebuild.

One of my housings from an NA S4 that overheated and blew the hoses off. Just driving on the highway and when I noticed it was overheating, in about 30sec the needle went from slightly past half of the range to 1/4 of the range beyond it and blew the hoses. Hope your housings fair better than mine. (the rotor was also destroyed)

Sorry the area of interest is a little out of focus.

wow im sorry to hear about your overheating
Well one housing cracked and a main housing was not good enough to reuse. Luckily we found good used parts for a decent price.
