Secondary Injector Help

1987 TII 100K miles
Rtek 1.7
550cc primaries
720cc secondaries
G-Pop hybrid turbo T04E 50 compressor wheel (200 miles on setup)
balanced rotating assembly
Stock hot side
Ported wastegate
HKS (I think) manual boost controller
Stock top mount

3" downpipe, no cat, RB dual catback system
K&N Cone filter

After the car warms up I have a huge stutter at 3500 RPM. This goes away after falling on its face 2 or 3 times (never did this before the Rtek). Goes dead lean when I hit the throttle....

I have the car set to run 11psi, but I am seeing numbers in the 14.3-14.7 on the AFR gauge @approx 5500-6000RPM....which is fairly lean under boost.

At 2500RPM @6-7 psi it is running 12.3-12.6, which I believe to be fine.

My question is, can my secondary injectors not be working? Or do I need to go to something in the 850cc range? is there and easy way to test for secondary injector pulse?

ECU pins 3H (LG/W) and 3F (LG/R) are the secondary injectors. When they are supposed to kick in the voltage on each drops from 12 volts to about half that value. W/an LED light connected to the pin wire and the other wire connected to pin 3I (B/W wire) the light should flash when being pulsed. Not familiar w/RTEK, but perhaps someone who does will provide some insight.

Did you have the injectors cleaned?

I had a set cleaned once and the cleaner they used caused the injectors to stick closed which caused my 3500-3800 rpm cut out like I was hitting fuel cut.

Try doing a DIY fuel injector cleaning and see how much fluid comes out. There's some good youtube video's on how to do it.

Thanks for replies, I am gonna borrow an LED setup tomorrow.

APEX944 the injectors were brand new 720cc. The 550's were remans.

It is weird that the hesitation goes away after the car is warm and it hesitates 2 or 3 times.

I had a loose injector connector on a car that would do the same thing that your car is doing.
