OK so heres just a small project I've deemed Mark (sec gen 87) worthy of doing
Price is very reasonable so far and he seems like a great guy to deal with.

As of right now I'm just waiting on the seals to get in then the engine and all the goodies I opted for will be going in as well.

So as of right now the following are being done with the swap
1. Full S2 T2 Conversion
2. S5 Turbo and mani
3. Yellow Top Optima
4. ACT 4 Puck Clutch Kit
5. 3" Downpipe to Borla catback
4. Swapping my t2 hoods with his (his is in better shape)
5. HKS FCD
6. Installing new ac components that I'm providing
7. Duel belt altenator
8. Fixing misc. stuff as he goes along (i.e. vent and radio surround, etc).

I dont know if he wants me to disclose the price but it was very very reasonable !

 

Feel comfortable. He knows what he's doing. Good luck, post pictures.

 

Update 1: Just talked to Mark. Found out that there were no S4 rotor housings laying around so he's putting S5 rotor housings in ... and then he paused and let me know there was even some better news then that ... Apparently the S5's he picked up were street ported

The best part .. Mark is giving me them for no charge in the install !

So far so good ! Can't wait to get the finished product!

New update:

Just talked to Mark .. car should be done tomorrow ... man I'm freaking excited. All I need to complete it now is a nice ricer hks ss bov hahaha

Anyway he said he's working out the rest of the kinks (which are to be expected near the end of any install .. especially one of this magnitude). I will hopefulllly be picking it up tomorrow and having it ready for the orlando rx7 sunday drive.

Almost near final update

1/7/06 Took delivery of my car (Thanks Mark) .. I must say that the craftsmanship and wormanship on this engine is beautiful. I still have to break it in and get a few minor things taken care of (no biggies .. just stuff like the shift up light comes on in 5th gear lol),

Anyway initial drive:
I <3 TURBO YAYYYYYYYYY lol .. spool ftw. Anyway I've been keeping it at a conservative 4000rpm max .. and switching between easy easy easy and moderate-heavy driving up to 4000. The street port definately makes itself known .. and matched with the full racing beat turbo its great.

Like I said before a few little things need attention and Mark is making them priority on his list. I can not emphasize enough what a great guy Mark Lee is. He is actually working his *** off to make sure I'm happy, even if it cost extra for him. Definately will do repeat business with him!

Car is pushing around 220whp from the seat of pants feeling. Will crank it too around 250 once i get the profec b spec 2 and 720 secondaries.
