^^^^ they prolly won't even notice...

I believe it was said on this thread before, that a lot o Mazda techs don't even remember these cars. At any rate, mechanics on a whole don't like to work on rotaries. So in all likelyhood, they won't even care what you've swapped because its unrelated to what's on their work order.

Plus, the recall is most likely small beans compared to what they could be making on other paying jobs, so they're gonna want to get you out of their hair as soon as possible.

I'm speaking as a tech. I don't much care for Mustangs. So even if one comes in my shop that sounds like it has ***** under the hood, if its there for a front end inspection, for example, I do the required work and thats it. I don't pop the hood and drool.

Which is not to say that on my test drive I don't open her up a little hahahah

you could have them do the recalll, or you guys could do what i did to my GTUs.... and convert the entire system to S4 manual seat belts and interior trim.

you have to cut off a few interior trim mounting points, you need the S4 a-pillar trim, inner sail panels, lower sail panel trim, S4 headliner, rear bins and carpet, retractor and belt assy, buckles. if you want it done ALL they way, you could convert your center console to the S4 since youll be removing your lap belts and retactor. once you remove this, youll have a section of exposed driveshaft tunnel just below the armrest, and a vacant notch in the sides of the armrest where the lab belt guides were. if you get the S4 carpet, itll cover up this part of the driveshaft tunnel. if you get the s4 armrest, youll eliminate the notches that were for the lap belt guides.

youll also drop about 30-40 lbs

good luck
