i got the one from rx7.com. fit on my Miata short shifter (which is the same thread size/pitch as S5/S6).

I have one from an rx-8. Yes, it does show a 6-spd, but if you drive the car then you know there is no 6th gear. It doesn't bother me and its funny to trick people.

Plus it looks good, and I like the way it conforms to my hand.

Got one on mine as well.

And yes, Miata = S5 = RX8. I've had the stock s5 ****, a miata ****, and now the RX-8 **** all in my car.

Looks wise, the RX-8 **** wins... even if it says there is a missing 6th gear.

Feel wise, I much prefered the Miata **** on my stock shifter. I may perfer the 8 **** on a short shifter, though.

actually the RX8 **** can fit just about anything because of its insert: FB, FC S4, S5, FD, RX8 and miata.

i currently have it installed on my stock S4 shifter but i did have to manually thread it on(shifter cut it's own threads in the **** insert).
