Unhappy searched with no luck

i have a starting problem. i know most of you will go and tell me to SEARCH first but i tried that. almost all of the results were cars that didn't start, true, but my car hasn't been sitting like most of those cars that don't start.

i came outside to warm up my car before i checked the oil. now, my car usually bogs down on the first and sometimes second startup and the third time is a charm. this time i let the first startup bog down, the second startup i lightly tapped the gas to keep the car alive but when i let off it died. the third startup i didn't use any gas at all and it idled like a champ.

i let it idle for maybe about 5 minutes when i shut it down and checked my oil level. i added more oil and checked the dipstick again. then i checked my drop-in K&N air filter and i was thinking of cleaning it but i decided to just drop it back in and do it later tonight. now after that, i put everything back together. i didn't touch anything else and i tried to start it it wouldn't start. my bro tried to help me figure out what was going on but no luck. my friend took me to baxter's to pick up some new spark plugs and i don't have the right tools to take out the old spark plugs. on the spark plug box there's a picture of a tool i don't have and i think i need it to remove the plugs. is there a special tool needed for a simple spark plug removal and installation??

and what else should i look for to check why my car all of the sudden stopped working. any help is great. sorry this post is so long and thanks in advance.

Ok, go to the FAQ and look up the procedure for unflooding your car. It's pretty simple. Tools you will need are a deep 17 or 19 mm socket (not sure which one). That's more than likely the problem.

Look up the flooding or de-flooding. There is a really good link on RX7.com under tech articles.

thanks for the quick replies, but it isn't a flooding issue. i've flooded my car many times before and i use a fuel cut off switch to fix it easily. just flick it off, crank til starts, and flick it back on. there's something else wrong with it. my bro and i think it's the fuel pump, but we're not sure. can anybody help me with the spark plug problem??

If you have new plugs then you merely need to find a socket that fits and then remove your old plugs with the new "plug socket"
