Searched, but still not satisfied...(heater)

Ok, i have searched but i still cant really find the information i am looking for. i read this post, Post, but im still a bit confused. my controls all work grand, the air blows really strong, but not hot. and it seems that the air only will come out of my regular vents, it wont come out at the top of the dash to un-fog windows. now its october in CT, and already i have not been able to defrost my windshield, if i cant see i cant drive. please help me out guys. with that post, i dont understand what happens if i fiddle with that, ACMC...or whatever its called, with the coat hanger.

i have that same exact problem. air only comes out of the main vents, not down by the feet or up by the windshield. also a couple of weeks ago i had heat, then right around the time i replaced my belts (left the AC belt off) it stopped working.
also it seems that when i switch the settings from face/feet/defrost nothing happens it just keeps blowing out of main vents.

its getting cold, HEEEEEELP!!!

It sounds like your logicon is screwed up. The logicon is the thing that has all the heater/AC/fan controls. There is a thing behind the dash that moves to control where the air comes from (AC or heater) and another one that moves around to direct which vents the airflow goes to. There is another that changes if its fresh air or recirculated as well. All of these are controlled by the logicon. It sounds to me like the Air Mix Motor (controls the temperature) and whatever the one that directs the air flow to different vents isn't working. The obvious conclusion is that the logicon is not working right, thought there are a few more unlikely possibilities.
