I haven't been posting any more news on the repair of my engine. I'm just waiting for parts.
The total cost of parts is about $27. And about $13 in shipping fees.
I estimate the cost for someone to do the work I have done at no less than $600 in labor. So I guess i'm saving at the same time I am learning.
I hope everyone who has helped me take things apart, will help me get it back together.

:o)

Dude, you like racking up that post count, lol...

Central time...

You're gonna hit page 10 here pretty soon, gonna start another one, or go to page 20 with the build-up?

You could be doing lots of things while you're waiting for parts-checking/ changing plugs, taking out the oil pressure sender & cleaning the "gunk" out of it, draining the oil cooler & lines, changing the filter, cleaning up the gasket surfaces, cleaning up the top front of the engine that's exposed now, checking your vac lines for cracks, etc...

New thermostat while you're at it, pretty easy to do now. Also might want to consider the oil pellet for the main hub bolt.

I really appreciate the offer, but I am quite poor. I would feel bad actually having someone help me out and not have any way to repay them.

Plus I would be embarrassed about the shape mine is in. I bought it cheap, and have since damaged the body up a bit. I've got alot of 7 stories. he he

But anyways, I live in the Iroquois area. Where are you from? I've been trying to find someone local with some 'real' rotary background.

yeah I ordered a pellet from Dan Atkins. I don't run a thermostat in summer.

I've been helping a friend move this weekend, so I haven't done much to the engine.

Damn WAYNE88N/A you had to remind me that I has to do more than just put the new parts in a just sew it up.
j/k Actually thanks for reminding me that there is still much I can be doing.

Well, you were driving me batshit with all your one-words posts, so I had to tell you to go do something, lol...

Never refuse help! Besides, with the month Jacob is having, he needs to get his mind off of his car for a while anyway...
