Exclamation Screw Removal

I have a litle problem with my engine.

I try to extract a screw attach in the front cover of my 13b.

um try drilling it and use a bolt extractor, or try to tack weld a nut or bolt on it

I just measured the depth of that hole on an old S5 iron I have laying around, its 17mm and some change. Go buy yourself a 1/8 inch cobalt drill bit, (and a ***** punch if you don't have one) it will make short work of that work-hardened stud, just be sure you mark it so you don't drill into the coolant jacket. Get a nice mark from the ***** punch or the drill will dance all over the place, and for the love of wankel DO NOT BREAK THE BIT. You'll likely have to use a helicoil kit to repair the damaged threads. Also, don't forget to file the gasket surface back to flat when you're done.

Yeah carefully drill it, but before you go to extract it, heat the iron around it with a torch for a few minutes.

I try to do this using a screw extractor and that fail.
My extractor is broken.

put a bolt with a smaller inner diameter than the broken bolt and weld it. use socket to loosen bolt.
