sat for months and now won't start

I let my 88 vert sit since December. I put Seam Foam in the fuel and filled the tank. When I went to start it the battery was dead. Charged the battery and it cranks for several minutes. Got it to start for about 5 seconds then it would die. Did this about 3 times. When I tried it today won't even do that. I checked and I am getting fuel and spark. Plugs are goey moist. I know with 1st generations you use the ATF to get it un-flooded. But it sounds like the procedure is different for second generaton cars. Please help me out. I am in the process of moving and kind find a damn thing. So give me some detail as I can't find my service maual cd.
Thanks
Bob

Just follow the standard unflooding procedure. You can use regular engine oil instead of ATF...It's nicer to the engine...

Smile thanks

I just removed the green fuse and cranked it for a minute. Started right up. Smoked like hell for the first 5 minutes.
