The saga continues.....

For those of you who missed it, heres the first half to the story.

Now the new stuff. I got the radiator panel I sent to Nick (Kurgan) returned today. It was stamped unclaimed, and was also stamped with the dates. July 5, it arrived at his post office, and it sat there waiting to be claimed until July 23. He got a notice on July 13 about it, but still didnt pick it up.

He needed it for a show, and he didnt get it in time. Thats my fault, but I dont always have time to work on cf stuff, and things like that happen with a hobby I do on the side of my regular job.

Now why would someone leave something they ordered(but no longer wanted) at the post office for almost 3 weeks, and then say it was never sent, or LOST IN THE MAIL??? And then have the audacity to ask on the forum if anyone else was RIPPED OFF by me!!!!!!

Nick.. they give you a slip of paper either at your door step or in the mail that you have a package waiting for you at the post office. It's simple as that.

Obviously, you were in the wrong, accused him of something that wasnt true, you could have called the PO and find out what was up, but seeing your talk on here.. you cared not too. Therefore, you won't admit your doing.

He did say, there was a notice sent out to you, that you never claimed. Again, you probably knew about it, and didn't want it.. because of that show you missed.

Hm.. you had serveral choices to pick, to find out if it ever arrived.. Did you use those serveral choices, or relay on the mail service to come to your door? BTW - The big of a package, they don't deliver to your door... they keep it at the PO.. and sending you a notice that it's there .. and your duty to pick it up. Not them.

Hey Mazdaspeed7 that is the CF panel that goes before the radiator to cover the empty space from the bumper and the frame right? Does it have the hole cut out for the overflow bottle? I would love to buy it if it will fit my 89 and hopefully this might help smooth matters over. I have wanted something like that any way so it all works out

This is why UPS is 100 x better than the post office in delivery. 3 Attempts , 5 days it goes back to the shipper. Plus online tracking.

Priority Mail is faster, cheaper, and they handle the packages better then UPS.

Just my opinion,

I have been using Fed ex for shipping myself.

Insured for $150 and signed delivery, the same package would have only been $6.40 for FedEx ground

Yes, FEDEX does have better rates, but I don't want to drive 1 hour to drop off my packages in Augusta. And I am never home to meet them. I agree that a gov't monopoly is no way to run a business

It REALLY depends, and in most cases they do not send large packagesto the house, but they do send a notice for you to pick it up. Again, he had many choices to see if his package was there or not.....

The package really isnt big. Ive had things 10 times bigger delivered to my door. I have NEVER heard of the post office not delivering one of my pieces to the persons door.

I pay $6-7 to ship the cooling panel anywhere in the US, insured. USPS ships by weight, UPS ships by size. That makes UPS more expensive for me. My package is big and light. BTW, UPS charges about $10-15 to ship the cooling panels, and it takes longer to get there.

Kurgan, you really expect me to give you a refund and be happy about it, when you lied about the cooling panel, and then came on the forum trying to defame me, and then act like I was in the wrong? Your post office had it for nearly 3 weeks, and they notified you no less than twice. Once when it first came in, and one more time on July 13. It says so on the package. Whats your excuse now? One more thing...Why the hell didnt you email me during that month to see why you didnt get it yet? Maybe bacause you knew it got shipped to you?

You promised him the piece by a certain date

I would be pissed too

You also made several promises on sending the CF radio surround and then sending me my cash back. I would buy a CF radio surround now that I dont have to sell my car, but right now I jsut want my cash back

Well, he didn't get the panel for whatever reason, a good business person realizes that there are people like Kurgan out there. I'd refund his money, less shipping and handling.

I agree, just refund his money, if for no other reason than that you're a better man than he is. Never leave anyone with a reason to bitch at you, if at all possible.

At the same time make notes of this buyer and those who support his views, and remember not to do business with them again... working with crybabies is simply not worth your time. Hell, forward the list to me...Ill keep it in mind as well. People that act in this way toward decent vendors don't deserve our service...they should be stuck shopping at ******* walmart for their custom parts, IMO.

bad transactions do happen. best thing to do is give the money back. minus all shipping charges ofcourse. you will sully your reputation doing anything else(*see exclusion to this rule).

*iv been known to charge a bullshit fee of 5-10 bucks just for being dicked around with..... what a waste of time.

And Remember: Don't say you have something to sell unless its really true!. Both of you screwed up in this transaction.

I make it very clear in all my transactions that I dont generally keep parts in stock. I make them on a per order basis.

Huggybear, thats exactly what I was thinking. Give him a refund, minus the shipping costs and some extra for wasting my time, AND then trying to defame me for it.

And hypntyz7 and everyone else, thanks for the advise.

IMO, there's no good reason for the transaction to be cancelled or reversed. The buyer appears to be mainly to blame here, so there's no reason why the seller should lose the profit he was supposed to make. He's paid for it, so send it back to him. The fact that it's no longer required isn't really the seller's fault.

I'm gone for a weekend, and I come back to getting my name dragged through the mud.

I don't want the damn panel. I needed it for a show. I didn't have it. I never recieved a notice in the mail. Hell, I never even knew you mailed it... I tried emailing you, but you were in limbo for over a month (obviously not making the CF panel).

Its too bad this had to happen. You quoted me a price of $85 shipped. You promised it by a certain date. You did not deliver... simple as that.

You're the one that said you wanted the other thread to remain open. I've been around quite a while, done plenty of transactions, sales, trades and purchases on the internet... Sometimes I've shipped late. Sometimes I've received items late, but NEVER have I been dicked around with like this.

Charging me an extra $10 for "wasting your time". How about I charge you interest for the month you kept the money? Or how about for the 8 weeks of my wasted time before I found out what was going on? Nah, I'm not that petty. I could care less. I just wanted to get things cleared up.

I've made two mistakes. First mistake: posting in the 2nd gen forum what I should have probably PM'd, but you did the same thing with this thread...

2nd mistake, sending you money even after I saw the long delays and excuses that you've put out about the S4 and S5 stereo surrounds.

Originally posted by SilkwormWell, he didn't get the panel for whatever reason, a good business person realizes that there are people like Kurgan out there. I'd refund his money, less shipping and handling.
What people that want what they are promised? I sure hope there are people out there like me.

Give him his refund, less shipping and handling, since he no longer wants it. It's "he said... vs. he said..." on all the other crap, it's pointless. Fix it and make this thread go away.

It really isn't "he said vs. he said." I was there, I read what he emailed Adam, I saw Adam working on the panel. The post office knew he sent it out, he also has a reciept for it. You get on the internet and complain about getting bitched out!!! Well what the hell did you do to Adam. Your nothing but a pathetic crybaby with nothing better to do but blame other people for your **** and then set them up for your mistake. I know he sent it out later then the date you asked for, he apologized. I told him that he needed to do better. He got mad at me for pestering him about it. The fact is, you lied. Now you sit there and make excuses. You shouldn't get the full refund. He should keep the money for his labor.
And Scott, you screwed up! Adam did not. He used the money to buy the materials for the product that you wanted. Eventually you get your liscenes back. He IS going to send you the money. I don't think that you need to get on a forum and dis someone because of something that just happens. Why are you so pissed off because of $150 dollars when you have $1500 to put into your car? Your just wanting to start something. That is all it is about.
This is over with, there is no more need in putting the blame on anyone. There is a need to just drop this and let Adam, Scott, and Nick deal with this on their own.
