Safe Boost

What's the maximum level of boost that a stock 88 TII engine can handle if fuel is mapped correctly?
On the stock fuel system with fuel cut defender?

Well, with the stock fuel system, I would not push it past 10psi. I would upgrade the fuel pump regardless.

After that, it all depends on the reliability your looking for. The injectors can handle around 260hp with a decent duty cylcle.

It's better to upgrade everything to a safe range then pushing the stock setup too much.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking...&nbsp Most ECU's are already mapped up to the maximum 14psi that the boost sensor can handle.&nbsp it's the overboost fuel-cut you have to worry about, and the lack of fuel delivery that the stock fuel pump chokes at.&nbsp Upgrade fuel pump on the stock fuel injectors can handle up to 12psi no problem.

You need the FCD anyways; stock overboost fuel-cut is approximately 1psi over stock boost levels.

Well, I have the FCD with the racing beat full exhaust, with presilencer/two mufflers, and an intake filter. From what is posted and what I have heard, the fuel mapping is stoichometrically correct to around 14psi, but how much can the internals of the engine handle before blowing the stock apex seals or causing some serious damage...?

Get an upgrade fuel pump soon and make sure the fuel pump is getting full voltage under boost.

The stock ECU (or any other reprogrammed ECU for that matter) isn't mapped PERFECTLY for all applications; in fact, most of the ECU tuners will admit they don't touch the fuel maps on the ECU.&nbsp This is why I would recommend an S-AFC for fine-tuning - the ECU runs a bit rich in the mid-range as it is.
