SAFC2 Question

Maybe I'm just not looking for it hard enough but I just installed my SAFC2 in my 87 T2 and was wondering what I should initially do with the settings. ie. Sensor type and how many cyl's I would list it under and stuff like that.

And did anyone mount it in their glove compartment? pics? how-to's? (where to drill etc.)

Thanks for any input.

I also encountered a strong hesitation whenever I'm in gear and passed 3k RPM. Any idea about this? Could my settings have anything to do with this?

Thanks

Same ole answer. FLAP, 05 IN AND 05 OUT, 4CYL AND THE ARROW UP AND TO THE RIGHT. I think you find those settings in the ETC. So, write back and let us know what happened.

ahh thanks a bunch!

Now when my SAFC were not set to those specs, my car experienced some SERIOUS hesitation at 3000 RPM. My motor was warmed up and still had bad hesitation.

Was the wrong settings the source of that problem?

Thanks Scott, I should have went on your site first when doing the install, I didn't know that you had the SAFC settings on there.

Well, I set it to the correct settings and it still suffered from heavy hesitation. Any other ideas what can cause this? Again I only started experiencing this after the SAFC was put in.

I am able to slowly bring the RPMS past 3000 but I can't go WOT and past 3000 RPMs. It sputters for a second or two and then goes back to smooth revving.

My daring girlfriend insisted that I change the throttle opening setting. I changed the high throttle down to 40% instead of the 50% and now the sputtering and hesitation has stopped.

Are there any setbacks to lowering the high throttle setting?
