SAFC re-wiring
so the back story...
Iused to have a '91 NA coupe. I wanted "fun power" so I had a custom nitrous system installed.
Part of that system was an SAFC2 wired in such a way so that everything was hidden.
The SAFC2 wire was routed through an opening of the plastic under the ashtray and continued under the carpet.
The ashtray cover was removed and used to "hide" my SAFC2 (it's small enough to fit flush in the ashtray hole) when parked in public.
Flash forward to today...
I'm thinking of buying an S4 T2 vert.
It has an SAFC1 mounted on the mount it comes with installed in the ashtray hole sticking out.
The wire runs through the ouside of the console by the cig lighter.
Question...
Can an SAFC be un-installed without damaging the ECU?
Plan...
To replace it with an SAFC2 and do the wiring like my friend did it, but this time, use the plug RX7.com sells to attach it to the ECU.
I know it's being ****, but it's my car. I want everything clean and hidden.

sure you can un-install it without damaging anything or the ECU...just unplug the battery before hand...and why buy the harness when you can wire it yourself and save the cash for somthin else? go to www.1300cc.com to learn how to wire it!

why buy the harness?
like I said, I like things in my car clean and I will pay for it to be. plus, if I decide to sell my SAFC (ultimate plans are a V8 swap), then i can unplug it easily.
