this is for an s-afc, not the 2nd gen one, but it should be the same as I think the only difference between the two are the functions/abilities of it, not how its installed.

i put in the first gen blue screen version like on the site, and i must say that the s-afc install with tuning and a ground upgrade made everything SO smooth... its a total change, i was having hesitations before and the tuning with grounds made it smooth as silk it pulls harder now and is noticeably better in the top end

if you've got intake and exhaust, the safc really helps the top end pull to redline.

It won't do anything unless you mess with the fuel curve.

so you have 3" exhaust on an n/a? full 3" or just the tips? cuz if its full 3" thats way too big for an n/a, you're probably losing more power than gaining with that exhaust, because torque is made from backpressure, and too free-flowing exhaust on a naturally aspirated engine isnt always good

No matter what anyone tells me i switched to is and i dropped 1.1 seconds in the 1/4, i launch at 7 so i never see low rpms that smaller piping would help out with and after the 3 inch it goes to RB cat back, pretty free flowing but quite, eastrider125 an SAFC II is a fuel computer lets you adjust ratios and curves to be optimized for the amount of flow your engine has not the amout the ecu thinks it does, they can be tuned by a pro on a dyno to yeild very nice results i've heard as much as 20whp annd 3-4 mpg more

you launch at 7k?? and how exactly did exhaust cause you to drop over a full second in the 1/4? so since you say it dropped 1.1 seconds, what are you running now?

wtf 15.2?! on exhaust? do you have anything else done? i mean they run 16.5's stock, and thats in new perfect working order engine with the professional drivers that do this for magazines, shows, etc. Thats just a little hard to believe

I Have my 5th and 6th ports hooked up to the air pump, intake, and the exhasut as mentionsed, my engine is perfect tho compression wise that is, i don't know what else attributed to my good run but I like it I've posted the slip somewhere on the forum search my name and you'll find it

yah i found it, and well, congrats..... I still dont know how that is even possible since n/a's run 16.5 stock and you said you had bald tires... but i guess its possible

I mean, i have full 2.5" exhaust with an RB header and bonez hi-flow cat, aux ports hooked up to the airpump, good clutch, good suspension and tires for launching, 140+ lbs in weight reduction, cone filter, and a tuned S-AFC and I definitely dont think im running low 15's.. of course i have never tested it since i got the car and modded it because it's been winter and the track has been closed, but i still dont think im running that

From what I have read and seen stock stock s4 N/A's ran as quick as 16.1 stock in the 1/4. It varies depending on model and trim level. A Base 86 would be the quickest though as it dosen't have many of the options that came with the "GXL" or what not. Also most mag tests were not done in the most promising conditions. I noticed a huge difference in how my old N/A pulled in 40 degree weather compared to 80 degree weather.

That's true, and the only time ive been able to find is for a GXL, so it does have all the options that an 86 base doesnt. I have still removed most of those things along with more, and I am still skeptical that my car is in the low 15's, still seems unlikely to me, considering i have seen enough threads of n/a guys going to the track stock and running high 16's to low 17's
