safc

I've read post after post after post about how you shouldn't tune your own car until you get on a dyno. I live in Lake Charles, la wich is about a day and a half from anywere that even might have a dyno machine, lol, not that bad but still pretty bad. Whats worse is that even if I where to have a dyno machine to tune my safc with I wouldn't know how to tune it. Does anyone know any good pointers on how to use an safc and what they did with their cars. I have a T2 with hks exhaust, upgraded turbo, 720 secondaries, bigger fuel pump will have an msd6a becuase I'm putting it on this weekend and then my safc!! Would love to beable to safely tune my car so that it doesn't run out of gas on the way to my neigbors house anymore, lol. Any help would be greatly apprectiated thanks!

you don't need a dyno but you do nide a wide band 02 system. which they normaly have at dynos. if you can find one closer for use. you can hook it up and drive around on the street.

you are just adding or removing fuel untill the air / fuel numbers are around 11.5-11.9

so leave your SAFC all at 0%'s. you will be rich. floor it in 3rd or 4th and you'll get numbers probably in the 10's on the wide band screen. so remove a couple %. and go again. do a few at times. (you need a 2nd person in the car to be watching air / fuel numbers vrs RPM.)

keep going untill you get pretty constant numbers all across the RPM band.

this is where i put mine in last week. you can put the ashtray cover over it and no one will be the wiser. very sneaky. i like this spot for safcs the most on our cars, it seems to go very well.

what are the options with mounting it....
what kinda bracket deal comes with it...
the fact that you can close your tray lid is cool
its is flexible, swivel at the bottom or sides, or what?
