s6 alt into s4
ok i really have searched on this subject and all of the threads pretty much say the same thing, hook it up correctly or the battery will drain. where is the best place to hook up the black/white wire? can i just use a short wire and connect it to the B+ terminal? from the diagram it just shows that the wire needs to be hooked up to a battery reference so will that work? where else is a good spot?

I would personally use the smaller wire that goes onto the stock clip on the harness. I'm not sure that it's necessary, but hey, I try to keep wiring as stock as possible.

im not sure exactly what you mean by that. in order to use an s5/s6 alt on an s4 chassis i have to re-route one of the smaller wires that goes onto the stock clip on the harness. i was wondering where you guys were routing it to. is it possible to just run it to the B terminal on the alt? or does it need to be fused?

I'll elaborate.
In a stock S4, there's a clip, that attaches to an S4 alternator. Get a little wire-end that slides over that terminal on the clip, then another wire-end to go onto the B terminal.
